Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Skyline Wars ("we", "us") runs skylinewars.com, a directory where local businesses hold floors on city towers and link to their websites. This policy explains what we collect and why. Questions: [email protected].

Visitors

You can browse every tower without an account. We count clicks on each floor so we can report totals to the businesses listed. To stop fake clicks, we record a one-way hash of your IP address that changes every day; we never store the IP address itself. We guess your approximate city from your browser's time zone to show your local towers first; this stays in your browser. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal information.

Business accounts

Businesses sign in with Google. From Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. You give us your business name, website and tagline, which appear publicly on your floor. We store your bids, claimed floors and alert history.

We use your email to send account messages: bid confirmations, outbid alerts, results and billing notices. You can't turn off these messages while you have an active bid or floor, because they're part of the service.

Service providers

We use Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting and email routing), Resend (sending email) and Google (sign-in). They process data only to run these services for us. When payments are added, card details will be handled by our payment provider and never stored by us.

How long we keep data

We keep business account data while your account is open and for up to 7 years afterward where tax and accounting rules require it. Click records are kept for up to 2 years so businesses can see past months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing [email protected]. Residents of Canada have rights under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws; residents of US states such as California have rights under their state laws. We'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies and storage

We store a sign-in session in your browser when you sign in as a business. We don't use cookies for advertising.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and we'll email business accounts about significant changes.
